Car Parking

Paid car parking is available for $30 per day per vehicle (card only) at the VRC managed car park at Flemington Racecourse.

Access to the Flemington Racecourse carpark is via Flemington Drive on Epsom Rd and Stables Drive via Smithfield Road.

The Flemington Racecourse carpark is open from 8am-8pm daily. Patrons parking at Flemington Racecourse can access Melbourne Showgrounds via the rail underpass.

Important Parking Information for Saturday 5 October

Due to Turnbull Stakes Day, please note there will be no parking at Flemington Racecourse on Saturday 5 October. Visitors are strongly encouraged to use Metro Trains as the best way to get to the Show.

Accessible Car Parking

Melbourne Royal has made 48 new accessible parking bays available on-site at the Melbourne Showgrounds. These new accessible car parking bays are available during the Show from 9.30 am daily and can be accessed via Gate 7 (off Leonards Crescent) until capacity is reached.

If you require an accessible spot, please notify the car park attendant upon arrival so that they can allocate one if available. In the event the on-site accessible parking has reached capacity patrons will have the option to drop off passengers by the accessible entrance via Gate 8.

Additional accessible parking is available off-site within Flemington Racecourse. Patrons utilising this car park are advised that there is a short walk via the rail underpass from the parking bays to the nearest Show entrance via Gate 9. There are some rest areas along the way, however where possible it is recommended that passengers who may find this journey challenging are dropped off in the above-mentioned zone to provide ease of access to the Show.

Parking must be purchased (at a cost of $30) on the day you are attending and cannot be pre-booked. Patron’s parking in accessible bays must have a valid Australian Disability Parking permit on display.

The most efficient way to get to the Showgrounds is via public transport and Metro Trains are providing additional services during the Show period.
