First look: Playful new attractions to sizzle on debut at the 2025 Melbourne Royal Show!

The 2025 Melbourne Royal Show is bursting with new farm experiences, playful attractions and spectacular entertainment for families, thrill-seekers and curious minds of all ages to do, see and discover.

From the all-new LEGO® Playland – Farm to City to a world-class illusion with a breathtaking finale, and with more than 6,000 animals on site, the 2025 Melbourne Royal Show is sizzling with fun, thrills and excitement for a day out with family and friends.

For 11 unforgettable days from Thursday, 25 September to Sunday, 5 October, the Melbourne Showgrounds transform into a playground of joy, discovery and shared experience, with hundreds of free things to see, do and discover.

What’s New: Fun farm experiences, playful attractions, magical entertainment and food delights including a Farmer’s BBQ

LEGO® Playland – Farm to City offers free, hands-on fun for kids and grown-ups alike in a dedicated LEGO® pavilion. Explore, build and play in one of four LEGO® play zones, including the exclusive LEGO® DUPLO® Farm that is only at the 2025 Melbourne Royal Show.

Little Farmers Field, this new free activation lets little ones try digging up fresh veggies, picking orchard apples, collecting eggs, pretend sheep shearing, riding a Kubota tractor, and feeding friendly baby animals.

Farm Animal Pin Trail is a new fun way to see and learn more about the cows, sheep, horses, chickens, dogs, and more. Discover five destinations along the trail, where kids can meet animals and collect pins as a happy memento of their day at the 2025 Melbourne Royal Show. For just $5, kids will receive six collectable pins, including an official 2025 Melbourne Royal Show pin – perfect for curious little explorers.

Night of the Horse will debut in Australia at the 2025 Melbourne Royal Show and is a unique blend of adrenaline-pumping action and breathtaking equine displays with never-before-seen horse-centric performances that will amaze audiences of all ages.

Jaws Great Escape will see world-renowned escape artist Sam Powers perform his most captivating illusion ever at the 2025 Melbourne Royal Show. Hanging upside down some three storeys high and racing against the clock, Powers must free himself before the jaws snap shut.

Value food offerings with more than 84 different food outlets, there is no shortage of variety. This year every food truck will have a food item available for $10 or under.

The Farmer’s BBQ is new great value food option with a $3.50 sausage sizzle being served up from 11am–2pm daily. It’s a tasty bite that gives back with proceeds supporting drought relief.

Spectacular nightly entertainment program headlined by the Australian debut of Night of the Horse, followed by spectacular fireworks.

Community involvement is higher than ever before with a record 33 community groups performing during the 11 days of the Show this year.

Oodlemania will celebrate the charm of groodles, labradoodles, cavoodles and more in this fun, family-friendly event on the final day of the Show. Exciting competition classes include: Most Handsome Oodle, Prettiest Oodle, Cutest Oodle Puppy, Best Fancy Dress Oodle, Best Groomed Oodle, and Champion Oodle.

Explore the southern hemisphere’s biggest Showbag Pavilion

Wander through the Showbag Pavilion and explore the hundreds of different variety showbags on offer, from traditional confectionery favourites to the newest and most sought-after novelty and lifestyle bags – there’s showbags for all tastes, budgets and ages.

Price freeze keeps magic of the Show accessible for all Victorians

Admission ticket prices have frozen for the 2025 Melbourne Royal Show, with Family tickets $99 (2 adults & 2 children 5-12 years), Adults $49.50, Concession $36, Child $26 (5-12 years), Aged 4 & under are free.

Great savings of up to 20% off ticket prices are available if you get your tickets early from royalshow.com.au and select the day you plan to attend.

For those who are unsure which day they may attend, the new Flexi ticket is a great new option that offers entry on one of the 11 days of the Show without needing to pre-select the day to attend.

Seniors day on Tuesday 30 September is a new addition for the 2025 Melbourne Royal Show to encourage grandparents to enjoy a fun day with their grandchildren for only $25 a ticket.

For day 1 of the Show (Thursday 25 September), there is a super deal on rides with an unlimited Ride Pass which enables you to go on as many rides as you want between 10am – 2pm.

By getting your tickets early, you can save more by adding a Ride Pass to your cart. By doing this you can save up to 25% on rides.

Where little hands meet friendly farm animals

Step into the heart of the Show and make lasting memories in the beloved Sunrise Animal Nursery. With hundreds of friendly farm animals roaming freely, it’s the perfect place to pat, feed and cuddle baby goats, lambs, piglets, chooks and more – a hands-on experience the whole family will remember.

Blue Ribbon Competitions: The stars of the Show

This year we have over 5,000 animals onsite over the 11 days, from massive bulls and cows to sheep and baby lambs, horses, alpacas, poultry, and dogs. You can get up close with a 1000kg bull, admire champion beef cattle, stunning fleece displays, elegant poultry and alpacas – and don’t miss the world’s cutest sheep, the Valais Blacknose, this year’s feature breed.

You can cheer on and marvel at the true stars of the Show: livestock and their handlers; show horses and their champion riders; championship dogs and their owners; skilled woodchoppers; along with talented makers, bakers, and creators all competing to win a coveted Melbourne Royal blue ribbon.

Step inside the Spotlight Makers Pavilion – a hub of creativity where thousands of exhibits across 500 classes that showcase the skill and talent of makers, baker, creators, crafters, painters and photographers all competing for a coveted Melbourne Royal Blue Ribbon.

Rides for every age and level of fun

From gentle rides in the Kids Carnival to family favourites in the Adventure Carnival and big-scale attractions in the Thrillseekers Carnival, there’s fun for every age – plus a free Metro Train Ride for a scenic tour of the Show!

Time to Let it Show

Melbourne Royal CEO Brad Jenkins said the Melbourne Royal Show is a much-loved iconic Victorian major event, that brings much joy and happiness to the community and for 11 days from 25 September, it’s time to Let it Show.

“We have listened customer feedback and have not increased General admission ticket prices this year, we are offering bigger savings on early bird tickets, and we have introduced a Flexi-Ticket for those who want to get their ticket early but are unsure which day they may attend.

“There’s thousands of animals to see, fun new farm experiences, playful attractions, magical entertainment and enhanced food variety and value including a daily Farmers BBQ with $3.50 sausage sizzle along with expanded seating and picnic areas.”

Mr Jenkins added more than 400,000 people are expected to attend over the 11 days of the Melbourne Royal Show from Thursday 25 September to Sunday 5 October.
