The Face of the Show Competition presented by Melbourne Royal

ABOUT THE PROMOTER

The Promoter of this Competition is The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria Limited (ABN 66006728785) trading as Melbourne Royal (also known as the Melbourne Royal Show) and the Melbourne Showgrounds, Epsom Road, Ascot Vale, Victoria, 3032.

USER AGREEMENT

By entering the Competition, you are deemed to have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them.

ENTRANTS ELIGIBILITY

**Children are not eligible to submit an entry. All entries must be made by a parent or guardian.

By entering the Competition, you warrant that:

You are a consenting parent or guardian of a child between eight (8) and eleven (11) years of age;

You are a Victorian resident;

You are entering the competition once only;

You are providing a valid name, email address, contact number and postcode;

You are agreeing to receive news and updates from the Melbourne Royal Show;

available to attend the Melbourne Royal Show on a date between 26 September – 6 October 2024.

Both you and the child are both available to attend all Media Appearances and Contact Requirements.

The Promoter may in its discretion refuse to award any prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions. All relevant instructions to enter the Competition form part of these Terms and Conditions.

UNAUTHORISED USE OF THE COMPETITION

Entrants must be an individual and not a company or organisation. The Promoter reserves the right to, at any time, verify an entry or entrant and disqualify an entrant the Promoter has reason to believe has submitted an entry not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

PRIZE VALUE

The selected winner of the ‘Face of the Show’ competition will receive:

Four (4) Melbourne Royal Full Membership passes (2 x children (under 18), 2 x adult) valid from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 granting access to all 11 days of the 2024 Melbourne Royal Show. VALUED AT: $510.00

One (1) $400 food & beverage voucher redeemable at catering vendors located throughout the 2024 Melbourne Royal Show. VALUED AT: $400.00

One (1) $200 rides pass redeemable at the ticket booths located throughout the 2024 Melbourne Royal Show. VALUED AT: $200.00

One (1) $200 showbag voucher redeemable at the Benson’s owned showbag stand at the 2024 Melbourne Royal Show. VALUED AT: $200.00

Four (4) tickets to the exclusive Show Luncheon. VALUED AT: $800.00

Three (3) nights’ accommodation for 1 x child and 1 x adult at The Sebel if the winner is located more than 20km from the Showgrounds. Location is as displayed on their Victorian Driver’s License. VALUED AT: $555.00

One (1) money can’t buy experience with exclusive access to the Show Launch, Showbag Launch and Show Preview Day. INVALUABLE

THE ENTRY PROCESS

To enter the Competition, participants need to complete the entry form during the Competition period (Tuesday 6 February – Wednesday 28 February 2024). Entry into the Competition is free.

As part of the entry, you will be required to answer all of the following questions:

Question 1: Parent/Guardian full name
Question 2: Parent/Guardian contact email
Question 3: Parent/Guardian contact number
Question 4: Applicant full name
Question 5: Applicant Date of Birth
Question 6: Postcode
Question 7: Please submit a 30 second video of your child where they detail their name, age, and why they would make a fantastic face of the 2024 Melbourne Royal Show. This should be a video of the applicant – assistance from parent/guardian is advised. 
Question 8: Can you confirm that you and your child will be available for all the required days? Please note that the dates and times are yet to be confirmed and may be subject to change.  It should be noted that some days will conflict with school term dates.
Question 10: Privacy Policy

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or incorrectly submitted, delayed or illegible details provided on the entry form.

COMPETITION PERIOD & ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS

The Competition will run on the Melbourne Royal Show Website between 6am Tuesday 6 February and 11:59pm Wednesday 28 February 2024. A shortlist of ten (10) applicants will be drawn by Melbourne Royal at 12:30PM on Friday 1 March 2024 and notified by email and/or phone call. If the shortlisted applicant does not respond within 48 hours, the place will be forfeited, and the Promoter reserves the right to draw a new applicant from the pool of entrants.

The shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a screen test to ensure the applicant is comfortable with the media opportunities and responsibilities of ‘Face of the Show’. The date of this is to be determined.

The winner of the ‘Face of the Show’ will then be selected. The Promoter’s decision on the selection of the “Face of the Show” is absolute and final.

The Promoter is not responsible for any technical issues that may occur during the competition period and application process.

No component of the prize can be transferred or redeemed for cash.

The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Competition without notice.

MEDIA APPEARANCE AND CONTACT REQUIREMENTS

The selected “Face of the Show” must be available for all scheduled events, including but not limited to:
Campaign Photography and TVC Film Day (Date: 13th July) TOTAL HOURS 6

3x Ad Hoc Media Appearances (Date: TBC, Times: TBC) TOTAL HOURS 3

TOTAL HOURS: Approx. 33 Hours of event attendance commitment

PLEASE NOTE: These dates are just a guide and subject to change.

Entrants agree to allow the Promoter to use the winner’s likeness, name, and content generated during the competition for promotional purposes.

THE COMPETITION & FACEBOOK, SOCIAL NETWORKS

The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. (Instagram, twitter or any other social network). You are providing your information to Melbourne Royal and not to Facebook. By entering the Competition, you agree to a complete release of Facebook from any claims.

INDEMNITY

Entrants indemnify the Promoter and its related entities and agents from any loss, damage or expense arising from a breach of these Terms and Conditions by the Entrants.

PRIVACY

Personal information collected in the Competition will be used in accordance with the Privacy Policy of the Promoter available at http://www.melbourneroyal.com.au/privacy/. Each Eligible Entrant consents to the Promoter using their contact details and other personal information for any purpose for which the eligible entrant has consented including future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.
