Head to the Livestock Pavilion and Livestock Lane to see livestock competitions and judging throughout the Show.

What competitions are running each day?

With more than 2,200 Blue Ribbons awarded across 11 days, there’s always a competition happening at the Melbourne Royal Show. Here’s what you can expect:

 

24 September – 4 October:

  • Melbourne Royal All Breeds Championship Show (Dogs)
  • Melbourne Royal Horses in Action Competition
  • Melbourne Royal Art, Craft & Cookery Competition

 

24 – 25 September:

  • Melbourne Royal Sheep Competition

From champion livestock and top dogs to elite equestrian events, woodchopping action and incredible creative exhibits, there’s something new to discover every day of the Show.

Can I meet exhibitors and producers?
Yes! Meet farmers, breeders and exhibitors in the Livestock Pavilion and LifeWise Dogs Precinct, or head to Livestock Lane for a behind the scenes look at the animals, stables and working areas where the action happens away from the competition arena.
Can I take photographs and videos of my day at the Melbourne Royal Show?

Yes! You are encouraged to capture your special moments by taking photographs and videos during the Melbourne Royal Show and post them to social media with #MelbRoyalShow.

Can I bring my own dog or pet onsite?

No animals, with the exception of accredited guide and accredited assistance animals, are permitted onsite. This does not include animals that are partaking in competitions or part of Show entertainment.
