Melbourne Royal Fleece Competition
The Fleece Competition showcases the very best fleece by Victorian wool growers, with both the traditional breeds and the modern styles on display each day of the Melbourne Royal Show.
Did you know that Australia is the biggest grower of wool in the world?
From the ultra-fine Merino to the lustrous Lincoln, the inclusive range of classes ensures that the traditional breeds and the modern styles are on display throughout the 11 days of the Melbourne Royal Show.
More than 120 entries from across the state will be on show, with the pinnacle event the District Fleece Competition. These fleeces compete for the honour of best fleece in their region and the champion fleeces in each district then compete to decide the Champion District Fleece.
