Where can I meet animals at the Show?

Animals are all around the Show! Head to the Animal Nursery, Livestock Lane, Livestock Pavilion, LifeWise Dogs Precinct, Ponies and Farm Play or Wildlife experience to get up close and discover more.

Can I interact with or pat the animals?

You sure can! Get hands-on at the Animal Nursery, meet the World’s Cutest Sheep and discover plenty of opportunities to get closer to the animals throughout the Show.

Are the animal experiences suitable for young children?

Absolutely! There are plenty of animal experiences that are suitable for young children, giving your little ones so many opportunities to get up close and personal with new farmyard friends.

Can I take photographs and videos of my day at the Melbourne Royal Show?

Yes! You are encouraged to capture your special moments by taking photographs and videos during the Melbourne Royal Show and post them to social media with #MelbRoyalShow.

Can I bring my own dog or pet onsite?

No animals, with the exception of accredited guide and accredited assistance animals, are permitted onsite. This does not include animals that are partaking in competitions or part of Show entertainment.
