That’s a wrap: Day 6 at the Melbourne Royal Show

The next generation of Australian agriculture was firmly in the spotlight on day six, with competitions celebrating bright young talent in the Arena and Livestock Pavilion.

Alongside the young entrants were old favourites, including the live scone judging – a competitive culinary affair, while dog judging continued with the best in breed for Great Danes, German Shepherds, Schnauzers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

Darren Keating, Executive General Manager Agriculture, Melbourne Royal praised the involvement of so many young, passionate individuals, recognising the importance of the next generation to the future of the show movement.

“Year after year we continue to be amazed by the calibre of talent in our show competitions. It’s wonderful to see so many enthusiastic competitors coming through the ranks,” Darren said.
