My Show Memory Competition Terms & Conditions

  1. Promoter
    The Promoter of this competition is The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria Limited (ABN 66 006 728 785), trading as Melbourne Royal, located at Melbourne Showgrounds, Epsom Road, Ascot Vale VIC 3032.

 

  1. Eligibility
  • Entry is open to permanent Australian residents of Victoria (Australia) only.
  • Entrants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entering the Competition.
  • Entrants must be an individual and not a company or organisation. Employees, contractors, board members or committee members (or a member of the immediate family of such an individual) of the Promoter and any person or entity associated with the Competition, are not eligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right to, at any time, verify an entry or entrant and disqualify an entrant the Promoter has reason to believe has submitted an entry not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  • Entrants must be available to accept the Prize in its entirety. If the drawn entrant is unable to accept the Prize, they will be deemed ineligible and a redraw may occur.

 

  1. Competition Period
    The Competition opens at 10:00am AEST on Monday 2 February 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Monday 2 March 2026 (“Competition Period”). Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.

 

  1. How to Enter
    To enter the Competition, entrants must during the Competition Period:
    Share a post or story on Instagram or Facebook that features their favourite memory from the Melbourne Royal Show;
    b. Include the hashtag #MyShowMemory; and
    c. Follow @melbourneroyalshow and @melbourneshowgrounds on the platform they are entering.
  • Entries must be publicly visible to be eligible.
  • Each eligible post or story counts as one (1) entry.
  • Entrants may submit multiple entries, provided each entry is unique and meets the entry requirements.

 

  1. Prize
  • One (1) winner will receive The Ultimate Show Prize Pack, which includes:
    • One (1) Family Pass to the 2026 Melbourne Royal Show
    • $200 Rides Pass
    • $200 Food & Beverage Voucher
  • The total value of The Ultimate Show Prize Pack is $499.00 
  • The Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash or other alternatives.
  • Any additional costs associated with attending the Show are the responsibility of the winner.

 

  1. Winner Selection & Notification
  • The winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries.
  • The draw will take place on Tuesday 3 March at Melbourne Showgrounds.
  • The winner will be contacted via direct message from the official @melbourneroyalshow account and may also be announced on Melbourne Royal Show social media channels.
  • The winner must respond within five (5) business days to claim the Prize. If the winner does not respond, the Prize will be forfeited, and Promoter reserves the right to redraw.
  • The winner will have the option to collect the Prize from Melbourne Showgrounds or have the Prize posted to a nominated address. The Promoter does not accept any liability for a Prize lost in the post.

 

  1. Use of Entries
  • By entering the Competition, entrants grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, publish, adapt and display their submitted content (including images, videos and written memories) for promotional and marketing purposes, including but not limited to social media, digital, print and on-site activations without notification or compensation.
  • Entrants acknowledge that their memory may be recreated, interpreted or referenced as part of a Melbourne Royal Show activation, but the Promoter makes no guarantee that any individual entry will be used.

 

  1. General Conditions
  • This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Meta, Facebook, or Instagram.
  • Entrants release Meta, Facebook, Instagram, and the Promoter from any liability arising in connection with this Competition.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries and disqualify any entrant who submits content that is offensive, inappropriate, unlawful, or does not comply with these Terms & Conditions.
  • The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

  1. Privacy
  • Entrant details are collected by the Promoter solely for the purposes of conducting this Competition. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at melbourneroyal.com.au.
  • By entering, Entrants agree that their name and/or entry may be published by the Promoter for promotional purposes, without notification or compensation.

 

By participating in the Competition (including submitting an entry), entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
