The Promoter of this competition is The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria Limited (ABN 66 006 728 785) trading as Melbourne Royal (also known as the Melbourne Royal Show) located at the Melbourne Showgrounds, Epsom Road, Ascot Vale, Victoria, 3032.
ELIGIBILITY
Entry is open to Australian residents only; who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entering the Competition; and are not an employee, contractor, board member or committee member (or a member of the immediate family of such an individual) of the Promoter or an entity associated with conducting the Competition; and must be available to accept the “Prize” in its entirety. If the drawn Entrant is unable to accept the Prize, they will be considered ineligible and the Prize will be forfeited in its entirety, and a new eligible entrant will be drawn.
COMPETITION PERIOD
The Competition opens at 10:00am AEST on Tuesday 16 June 2026 and closes at 5:00pm AEST on Tuesday 23 June 2026. Entries received outside this time will not be accepted.
HOW TO ENTER
To enter the Competition, Entrants must:
Follow @melbourneroyalshow on Facebook or Instagram;
Like the competition post; and
Tag the person they would bring to the Melbourne Royal Show in the comments section during the Competition Period.
Entry into the Competition is free.
Entrants can enter multiple times on either Facebook and/or Instagram for separate chances to win, provided each entry meets the criteria. One comment tagging a person counts as one entry.
PRIZE DETAILS
There are five (5) prizes to be won.
Each prize includes:
One (1) Family Pass to the 2026 Melbourne Royal Show (admitting two adults and two children aged 5–12 years);
One (1) $200 Rides Pass for use at the 2026 Melbourne Royal Show; and
One (1) night's accommodation at Hyatt Place Melbourne Essendon Fields, including accommodation for up to two (2) adults and two (2) children, complimentary 24-hour parking and a children's welcome pack, subject to the accommodation provider's booking terms and availability.
TOTAL PRIZE POOL VALUE: $1,249.00
Each prize package will be awarded to one winner only.
The Melbourne Royal Show Family Pass is valid for a single day entry during the 2026 Melbourne Royal Show, held from Thursday 24 September to Sunday 4 October 2026.
Rides Passes are subject to the terms and conditions of the ride operator and must be redeemed during the 2026 Melbourne Royal Show.
The accommodation component of the prize consists of one (1) night's accommodation at Hyatt Place Melbourne Essendon Fields.
The accommodation package includes:
- Accommodation for up to two (2) adults and two (2) children;
- Complementary 24-hour parking; and
- A children's welcome pack.
Accommodation may only be redeemed on one of the following dates:
- Friday 25 September 2026
- Saturday 26 September 2026
- Sunday 27 September 2026
- Friday 2 October 2026
- Saturday 3 October 2026
Following notification, winners will be required to nominate their preferred accommodation date. Accommodation dates will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.
If a winner's preferred date is unavailable, an alternative eligible date will be offered.
The Promoter and Hyatt Place Melbourne Essendon Fields do not guarantee availability on any specific date.
Accommodation bookings are subject to availability and any conditions imposed by Hyatt Place Melbourne Essendon Fields. All accommodation bookings must be finalised by no later than Friday 17 July 2026 and cannot be changed once confirmed.
The Prize winner is responsible for any incidental costs not expressly included as part of the accommodation package.
Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION
Five (5) winners will be selected by random draw at Melbourne Royal on Thursday 25 June 2026.
The winners will be notified via direct message on the platform through which they entered the Competition.
Winners must respond within seventy (72) hours from notification and provide proof to claim their Prize, including a valid name, email address, phone number and postcode. If a winner does not respond within the timeframe, the Prize will automatically be forfeited and the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the Prize.
No component of the Prize can be transferred or redeemed for cash.
The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Competition at any time without notice.
The Promoter may, in its discretion, refuse to award any prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions. All relevant instructions to enter the Competition form part of these Terms and Conditions.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
The Competition is solely operated by the Promoter.
The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platform.
Entrants understand that they are providing their information to Melbourne Royal and not to Meta. Entrants release Meta, Facebook and Instagram from any liability arising in connection with this Competition.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed or illegible entries.
The Promoter reserves the right to, at any time, verify an entry or entrant and disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
By entering. Entrants agree that their name and/or entry may be published by the Promoter for promotional purposes, without notification or compensation.
INDEMNITY
Entrants indemnify the Promoter and its related entities, employees and agents against any loss, damage, claim or expense arising from a breach of these Terms and Conditions.
PRIVACY
Entrant details are collected by the Promoter for the purposes of conducting this Competition. The Promoter will handle personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. Each entrant consents to Melbourne Royal collecting, storing and using their personal information for the purposes of administering the Competition and for any other purpose to which the Entrant has consented, including future promotional, marketing and publicity activities. Entrants may contact Melbourne Royal to request access to, update or correct any personal information held about them.
By entering the Competition, a person is taken to have accepted, and to have agreed to be bound, by the full Competition Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
