You will receive a confirmation email once we have received your form. If you do not receive this email, it’s possible that the email address you provided was incorrect, and you may need to submit the form again.
Once we have your submission, we will reach out to you if the item is found or returned to our team.

Yes! The fireworks will be back in 2026. As with any outdoor entertainment, the fireworks display is subject to change or cancellation without notice due to adverse weather conditions, safety, or other operational reasons. The Melbourne Royal Show team will do our best to update patrons of potential entertainment changes where possible.

Certainly! You are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks to the Melbourne Royal Show.
Please note that glass and breakable containers are strictly not permitted, and all other drink containers must be sealed, except for reusable water bottles which must be empty upon entry.
No, outside alcohol cannot be brought onto the Melbourne Showgrounds during the Melbourne Royal Show. However, designated areas are available where you can purchase and enjoy alcoholic beverages.
No animals, with the exception of accredited guide and accredited assistance animals, are permitted onsite. This does not include animals that are partaking in competitions or part of Show entertainment.
Cash is considered legal tender and should be accepted at all outlets throughout the Melbourne Showgrounds during the Melbourne Royal Show. However, please note that there may be some commercial stands that choose not to accept cash. We do not have a way of determining in advance which stands will or won’t accept cash. ATMs will also be accessible throughout the Show for cash withdrawals.
We understand the needs of parents, and that’s why we provide Parent Rooms for your convenience during the Melbourne Royal Show.
While we do not have mobility scooters for hire, we do offer standard manual wheelchairs for a fee. These can be hired from the Lost Persons/Lost Property Centre, under the ‘Wonder Pie in the Sky’ for $5 per hour with a credit card required as a deposit. Please note that wheelchairs cannot be pre-booked.
We provide power charging stations for electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters under the ‘Wonder Pie in the Sky’ and in the ONCALL Sensory Lounge during the Melbourne Royal Show.
Please note that patrons must bring their own charger to utilise these power charging stations. Some chargers may be available in the ONCALL Sensory Lounge; however, we cannot guarantee that all charger types can be catered for.
Yes, there are height restrictions and limitations for all rides. Please refer to the Rides page for further information.
The Melbourne Royal Show is a smoke-free event, smoking and vaping is not permitted onsite at Melbourne Showgrounds.
Lost property can be found under the ‘Wonder Pie in the Sky’ during the Melbourne Royal Show.

Yes, a multifaith Prayer Room is available for patrons who would like to pray during their time at the Melbourne Royal Show.

Distribution of flyers by organisations or individuals onsite is not permitted unless prior approval has been granted by Melbourne Royal Management.

CATERING OPPORTUNITIESVolunteer FAQs
Applications are open now! You can apply today to join the Melbourne Royal family and volunteer at the Show.
Applications close August 10th, 2026.
You will provide guidance, coordination and day-to-day oversight of volunteers, ensuring they are supported, informed and able to deliver a high standard of customer service while having a memorable experience.
Once your application is received (including your valid Working With Children Check), you will be invited to an online/phone interview to assess suitability (excluding corporate volunteers).
Successful applicants will then welcomed to our Volunteer Family, be invited to complete some online training to support you in your role, and you will indicate your availability across the event period, and begin confirming your Volunteer Service Calendar for 1 or more 4 hour shifts of the Melbourne Show period.
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to join the team.
Melbourne Royal Show volunteer shifts range in length from 4 to 7 hours depending on the role.

- The chance to get behind the scenes of Victoria’s largest community event.
- 2 Show tickets for every volunteer shift you complete for every 4 or more hours shift,
- Commemorative volunteer hat and water bottle,

- An invitation to a Volunteer Appreciation Event, commemorative certificate and volunteer service letter.
