Individuals are welcome to volunteer at the Royal Melbourne Show in a variety of roles that have been developed to reflect and enhance individuals’ particular skills, expertise and/or interests. These roles are varied and may or may not require preparatory training, specialised skills or knowledge.

Roles include:

Animal Nursery Assistants will help keep the animals in, the visitors moving and everyone safe, happy and having a great time.

The All New Cooking with Kids Assistants will help children cook and learn about food preparation.

The Gateside Greeters team warmly welcome Show visitors, help families and children with wristbands and guidance on what is where.

Our Winning Tastes Hospitality Volunteers will provide high-level customer service and assistance with cooking demonstrations and stage and event operations.

Meadow Hospitality Volunteers will have a ball helping with the exciting games set up and assisting patrons as they enjoy the live music into the evening.

Jurassic Creatures Assistants will help with queues, questions and re-assuring anyone scared of dinosaurs!

Milking & Shearing Assistants will ensure the safe and smooth running of these popular kid-friendly activities.

Be a fun, happy and friendly parade face as a Parade Assistant.

Help children, families and pigs have a great time together as a Pat A Pig Helper.

The Spotlight Create Space Assistants will help out in this hands-on workshop area that changes crafting activities daily.
