Showbags revealed! WIN one of 5 ultimate showbag prize packs23 August, 2019
The showbags were officially revealed today for the all new 2019 Royal Melbourne Show.
With 364 varieties of showbags on offer at this year’s Show, there’s a new and exciting showbag to suit all ages.
Children from Oakleigh South Primary School were the first to put the Showbags to the test, after winning a competition which set out to find what they thought the Royal Melbourne Show would look like in 50 years. The kids even got the opportunity to vote for their favourite showbag, with the Toy Story 4 showbag a top pick for many.
In attendance was the Minister for Consumer Affairs, the Hon. Marlene Kairouz, who detailed the incredibly stringent safety testing process that each showbag is subject to and Paul Guerra, Chief Executive Officer, The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), unveiled this year’s showbags for the kids to enjoy.
Reflecting on the huge line up of new and traditional entertainment, food and agriculture, Paul Guerra, Chief Executive Officer, RASV said, “Showbags are a feature attraction at the Royal Melbourne Show and this year we are making them an even greater feature by presenting them in world's largest Showbag Pavilion in the heart of Melbourne Showgrounds".
"With 364 varieties of showbags, there is a showbag to appeal to everyone," said Mr. Guerra
The all-new 2019 Royal Melbourne Show, held from Saturday 21 September to Tuesday 1 October at Melbourne Showgrounds, will be like no other, with an all new program of activities and pavilions on offer.
