Record Attendance at the Show27 September, 2019
Victorians have taken advantage of this year’s public holiday by flocking to the all new Royal Melbourne Show, resulting in the highest Friday attendance in over 10 years.
In excess of 60,000 attended the Royal Melbourne Show today to enjoy the loads of new attractions live entertainment, pavilions and food experiences, plus all the quintessential Show activities, such as thousands of farm animals, woodchopping, equestrienne, arts and craft, dog shows, carnival rides and showbags.
Talking to today’s huge attendance, RASV CEO Paul Guerra is delighted that people have responded well to the new attractions and experiences on offer at this year’s Show.
“The Royal Melbourne Show is Victoria’s largest and most iconic annual community event and is all new in 2019 with a huge variety of new and memorable experiences to enjoy with family and friends. “We are thrilled to see Victorians respond so well to the all new entertainment, attractions and food and beverage and take advantage of the great value on offer.” Mr Guerra continued. “The Friday attendance reflects the huge success of the value on offer at this year’s Show. Our strong online sales indicate that we are set for a strong final weekend ahead.”
