Celebrating our Past, Cultivating our Future

From the first ploughing match held in 1848, Melbourne Royal has remained Victoria’s home to great blue-ribbon competitions, world-class food and beverage award programs and vibrant events. 175 years later, Melbourne Royal is still organising events and competitions and is a protector for the state’s agricultural legacy.

Show visitors in 2023 appreciated the Melbourne Royal Museum pop-up, the historic timeline wall located alongside the Poultry Pavilion, and the heritage displays within the competition areas.
