See muscles bulging and chips flying in the Woodchop Pavilion, where the toughest axemen and women will battle to become champion from Saturday 22 September – Sunday 30 September.

Woodchop is one of the traditional features of the Royal Melbourne Show, having been held for more than 100 years.

The unique woodchop events such as the exciting standing block, sawing, underhand and tree felling all have their roots in the timber industry and attract some of the world’s best woodchop athletes.

The woodchop events are a test of brute strength, fitness and fine skills.

Make sure you get there early! The woodchop competitors are super speedy so the events fly by!
