Be prepared for a great day exploring the rides throughout the Thrillseekers Carnival, The Adventure Carnival and the Kids Carnival. Whether you enjoy a relaxing teacup ride, the bumping challenge of the dodgem cars or perhaps the thrill of the Beast, there are rides available for the whole family.
If animals are your thing, check out the Sushi Hub Farmyard and the Animal Nursery. These are the perfect places to cuddle up to your favourite animals and perhaps even try your hand at feeding some of our furry friends that call the Melbourne Royal Show home for two weeks.
The agricultural competitions are the heart of the Melbourne Royal Show. Hundreds of animals including cattle, sheep and alpacas will compete for blue ribbon glory and the chance to become Show Champion. The Kubota Australia Livestock Pavilion is a hive of activity throughout the Show with different animals competing every single day so head there to cheer on the champions and choose your favourites.
The all-new Melbourne Royal Show entertainment precinct is located right in the heart of the Showgrounds which makes it the destination for your fix of fun. The line-up of acts means there is non-stop entertainment for all ages, with fun family favourites including twice daily performances by Sesame Street Live Show, Showtime FMX Freestyle Motorcross Stunt Team hitting the ramps, and Cosentino, the grand illusionist.
Explore the vibrant Art, Craft & Cookery hub for everything creative, with thousands of incredible exhibits on display submitted by talented artists, crafters and home cooks vying for a blue ribbon.
From the impressive decorated cakes to the stylish millinery, and the intricate crochet work to the pickles and preserves, the breadth and diversity of the displays provides endless opportunities to be inspired.
No day at the Show is complete without going home with a showbag. With a massive selection, to choose from, everyone is sure to find a favourite to take home.
Feeling hungry after selecting those showbags? Take a walk through Eat Street, located in the Showbag Pavilion and choose from the delicious globally inspired cuisines.
If your arms are getting tired from carrying all those showbags, take a moment to relax in GRAZE, offering a great variety of food, wine, cocktails and beer.
After lunch, make sure you stop by the Woolworths Fresh Pavilion and the Home and Lifestyle Pavilion.
Nearby, in the Woodchop Pavilion you may see Australia’s best axemen and axewomen battling it out for chopping supremacy.
It wouldn't be a great day at the Show without sitting in the Horses in Action Arena where you can see Saddle Horse and Riding classes, Showjumping, Australian Stockhorses, Hunting, Light & Heavy Harness, and more.
After 5pm in the Entertainment Precinct, The Show After Dark features 11 nights of show-stopping live music and feature a massive line up of amazing artists, headlined by The Veronicas, Baker Boy and Sneaky Sound System.
An all-star line-up of Australian artists will keep crowds pouring into Melbourne Showgrounds after dark, with one artist to play a set of their greatest hits each night.
The offering in the new entertainment precinct will also include Airtime FMX and Show favourite, Grand Illusionist, Cosentino, alongside an enthralling laser light show and plethora of food and beverage offerings.
