Australia is the world's largest producer of wool - but have you ever wondered how the wool gets from the sheep's back into your woolly jumper? Watch a real sheep being shorn whilst learning all about wool, why it is so important and how it is graded. Professional shearers will take the crowd through the shearing process fleece by fleece every day. You can even receive a lesson from the master shearers and try your hand at shearing a sheep!

The Alpaca Youth Parader competition gives students the opportunity to get up close to these popular animals and learn stock-handling skills. You can enter online to be part of this unique competition before early September, or watch as the competitors parade the majestic creatures around the ring.
