The Livestock Pavilion is the home to thousands of animals and is a hive of activity throughout the Show, with different animals competing every single day.
Celebrating the best of the Australian beef industry, the Beef Cattle Interbreed is a true spectacle of the Royal Melbourne Show agricultural offering. With the best cattle from each breed vying for the title of Supreme Beef Breed Exhibit, come and see Australia’s best cattle farmers lead their bulls and cows around the Livestock Pavilion judging ring and celebrate 12 months of passion and hard work.
The cattle are assessed on a number of criteria to be awarded the grand prize. The expert judges are on hand to explain their selection and are more than happy to help you understand what it takes to select a prize winning cow or bull.
If you don’t want to miss out on seeing the cattle on mass, make sure you plan your journey the Show. The Royal Melbourne Show Beef Cattle Competition commences on Friday 27 September and concludes on Tuesday 1 October.
