Want to see real life prize-winning bulls or cows up close? The Livestock Pavilion will be packed with the biggest blue ribbon competitors during the Show.

Weighing up to a massive 1300kg, these gentle giants will compete in a diverse range of premium beef cattle events the prestigious Interbreed Championship, the Calf Classic (too cute!), and more.

This year the iconic Angus cattle are celebrating 100 years of residence in Australia with the breed making up a whopping 33% of Australia’s total registered cattle!

There is plenty to see and do in the Livestock Pavilion when the cattle come to town. Come along and meet some of the farmers that bring this beautiful animals to the Show each year.

Watch the finest bulls, cows and calves vie for a champion ribbon and see who will be crowned the Supreme Exhibit for their breed! The Show welcomes exhibitors from five states of Australia with some cattle travelling over 2000km to attend the Royal Melbourne Show! Some of Australia's best Angus genetics will be available for purchase. Come and watch the fast paced entertainment that is a beef cattle auction. The auction includes a donated heifer with all proceeds from the sale supporting mental health and wellbeing charity The Black Dog Ride.

The Royal Melbourne Show welcomes one of the largest breeds in the world, the Angus as the 2019 Feature breed. This famous Scottish breed is solid black in colour and is a naturally polled (no horns) animal. Expect to see 150 of Australia's best Angus cattle at the Show from Thursday 26 September to Tuesday 1 October with the Angus judging occurring on Sunday 29 September.
