The Royal Melbourne Show runs from Saturday 18 - Tuesday 28 September 2010. The Show will open from 9.30am and close at 9.30pm each day excluding Tuesday 28 September when the Show will close at 8.30pm.

Parking
Parking during the Royal Melbourne Show is available at Flemington Racecourse for $15 per day. Entry is via Epsom Rd or Smithfield Rd. Access to the Show is through the rail underpass. The Epsom Rd car park is open from 7am – 11pm the Smithfield Rd car park is open at 8.30am – 11.00pm.
Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria Members may also park at Flemington Racecourse during the Royal Melbourne Show for $8; entry is via the Members drive off Epsom Rd. The car park is open from 7am – 11pm.
Please note the entrance to the Show from Flemington Racecourse can be quite steep and we would recommend that patrons use the public entrance on Langs Rd as a drop off/ pick up point for people with special needs.
Transport
Public transport is an easy and convenient way to get to the Royal Melbourne Show.
Trains run from Flinders St, Southern Cross and North Melbourne Stations direct to the Melbourne Showground's each day of the Show from 8.50am. Trains depart approximately every 10 minutes.

Last train to depart the Melbourne Showground's each night is at 10.30pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday 28 September.
Tram number 57 runs from the corner of Flinders St and Elizabeth St, Melbourne city to the front of the Melbourne Showground's along Epsom Rd. Visit www.metlinkmelbourne.com.au for detailed timetables.
Bus numbers 404 Footscray Moonee Ponds and 472 Williamstown Moonee Ponds go via the Melbourne Showground's. Visit www.metlinkmelbourne.com.au for detailed timetables.
A taxi ride from the city to the Melbourne Showgrounds takes about 15 minutes. A taxi rank is located directly outside the Melbourne Showgrounds main entrance on Epsom Road.
V/Line – Special Event Ticket
Passengers with 2010 Royal Melbourne Show tickets can travel Economy Off Peak return for only $13.00 from any destination on the V/Line network. This special event ticket is available Saturday 18 September – Tuesday 28 September 2010.
Terms and conditions of the V/Line Special Event fare are:
- The V/Line special event ticket will entitle V/Line passengers with tickets for the 2010 Royal Melbourne Show to travel Economy Off Peak return for $13.00 from any destination on the V/Line network.
- V/Line special event ticket is available: Saturday 18 September 2010 to Tuesday 28 2010 September inclusive.
- Customers need to carry both their V/Line Special Event ticket and the Royal Melbourne Show admission ticket when travelling. This is to ensure access to metropolitan trains and trams to the showgrounds and to allow V/Line conductors to do appropriate ticket checks on the Special Event fare.
- Customers must show their pre-purchased 2010 Royal Melbourne Show admission ticket to be able to purchase their V/Line Special Event fare.
- 2010 Royal Melbourne show admission tickets printed from the internet will be eligible with ticket barcodes recorded at stations.
- The Special Event fare will also include free metropolitan travel on trains, trams and buses to get to and from the show.
- Not available for travel Monday-Friday on services arriving in Melbourne before 0900 and departing Melbourne between 1600 and 1800.
- The maximum V/Line fare payable for holders of a 2010 Royal Melbourne Show ticket is $13.
Information Booths
There are three information booths located around the grounds at the following locations
- Underneath Pie in the Sky
- Entrance to the Show from the Flemington Racecourse Car Park
- Outside the Flowers, Gardening and Pets Pavilion on the Grand Boulevard
Information Booths will be open from 9.30am - 9pm daily and close at 8pm on Tuesday 28 September, the final day of Show.
Toilets
There are toilet facilities located throughout the Show in the following locations. Please note some toilets are fitted with baby change facilities.

- Underneath the Public Grand Stand on the Herald Sun Town Square - Also contains baby change facilities
- Family Carnival outside the Kids Zone - Also contains baby change facilities
- Adjacent to the Flowers, Gardening and Pets Pavilion, behind the Information Booth - Also contains baby change facilities
- Thrill Seekers Carnival
- Kids Carnival
- Horse Precinct near the Coca-Cola Arena
Police and Security
Police assistance is available at the Show at all times during opening hours. Police are located next to the information booth underneath Pie in the Sky.
Security can be contacted from any of the information booths or by customer service staff.

- Entrance to the Show from the Railway Station
- Entrance to the Show from the Flemington Racecourse car park
- Grand Pavilion, wall closest to the Coca-Cola Arena
- Grand Boulevard at the front of the Grand Pavilion

- The Weekly Times Livestock Pavilion closest to main entrance
Baby Change Facilities
Facilities for parents to retreat, heat bottles or breastfeed are available during the Show at the Lost Persons Centre. Baby change facilities are available in public toilets in the following locations
- The Weekly Times Livestock Pavilion
- Underneath the Public Grand stand on the Herald Sun Town Square
- Family Carnival outside the Kids Zone
- Adjacent to the Flowers, Gardening and Pets Pavilion, behind the Information Booth
Pram, Stroller and Wheel Chair Hire
Prams can be hired for $12 a day from stands on the Grand Boulevard near the Poultry and Alpaca Pavilion and near the Thrill Seekers Carnival at the Showbag Pavilion end.
Wheel Chairs can be hired from information booths inside the Show for $5 per hour or $15 for 4 hours with a $40 refundable deposit required.
Lost Person Centre
Patrons who become lost while visiting the Show should go to the Lost Persons Centre located outside the Poultry and Alpaca Pavilion. The Lost Persons Centre is open from 9.30am - 9pm each day except for the final day (Tuesday 28 September) when the centre will close at 8pm.

Lost Property is located in the Lost Persons Centre

Disabled Facilities
All pavilions at the Show are Wheel Chair accessible. Disabled toilets are located in the following locations

Lockers are available to hire in several locations around the Show. Lockers are an easy and convenient way to store your goods and enjoy the rest of your day at the Show.

There are no public telephones on site at the Show. Should you need to make an emergency phone call please go to an information booth.
